Howdy Carr BICH 409 & 410 Students! This semester is sure to be an adventure! We will be answering big questions, like, “How do we know we are alive? How do our cells work? How do biochemical reactions occur at the speed of life?” And just how can you be confident that I can teach you all of this? My credentials include a Ph.D. In Biology from MIT, the 2017 Dean’s Outstanding Achievement Award for Early Career in Teaching, the 2017 Vice Chancellor’s Award in Excellence for Teaching, and the 2020 Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award for Teaching. But don’t take their word for it: listen to many of my previous students, who have written me that they got into the professional school of their choice!
