On Feb. 22, 2018 Rafael was the recipient of the 2018 NACADA Region 7 Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Advising, Primary Role. On Feb. 28, 2018 Rafael received a TEXAAN Scholarship for 2018. On March 1, 2018 he learned, along with Rebecca Hapes and Gail Rowe, that their publication was accepted and published in NACADA's e-publication, Academic Advising Today. And the success goes on, just yesterday, we learned that Rafael will be receiving Texas A&M Universities President's Meritorious Service Award in April 2018. And he has several other nominations in the hopper. Stay tuned, I feel like this guy is on a roll! We are very proud of you Rafael, you represent the department and the university very well.
