Admissions and Aid
The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics is a burgeoning academic unit with an expanding cohort of approximately 600 students. We take pride in fostering a welcoming, hands-on learning environment that integrates teaching, research, and high-impact programs, molding adept thought leaders in the field. Our curriculum imparts world-class education, equipping graduates with versatile skills applicable to a wide spectrum of career paths. Undergraduate Admissions
Students interested in pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry or Genetics in the department of Biochemistry and Biophysics must meet the university admissions requirements. BCBP has no department-specific requirements for undergraduate admission.
Graduate Student Admissions
Students interested in a graduate degree may submit an application via Texas A&M University GraduateCAS. To learn more about the BCBP graduate program, reach out to an academic advisor to schedule either a virtual or in-person appointment.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Students at Texas A&M get a world-class education at a reasonable cost—and graduate with far less college-related debt than their peers at other universities. We award numerous scholarships annually to undergraduate students in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics and support graduate students through scholarships, assistantships, fellowships, and travel and research grants. This funding is made possible by donors and supporters of the department including former students, family and friends, former faculty and industry sponsors.
