- Spring 2018 – Present: Laser lab manager for the Kurouski Lab
- Realigned optics for home-built spectroscopy systems as necessary to maintain performance
- Maintained protocols for use of all laser equipment in the lab
- Ensured all active lab members were trained to safely use equipment and associated software
- Developed simple skills tests for equipment to determine whether trainees had acquired necessary skills to operate equipment independently
- Worked with companies (Bruker, Horiba, Agilent, Princeton Instruments, Cobolt) to repair malfunctioning equipment
- Charlie has already accepted a job at Bruker Nano. He will be based in California.
