Ashley Holt Joins an Elite Group of Astronaut Scholars

Ashley Holt is a Biomed Engineering Student who works in the Center for Phage Technology in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Texas A&M University. She has been selected by the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation to join an elite group of Astronaut Scholars for the 2018/2019 academic school year.
As a part of this honor, Ashley will receive the following:
Up to $10,000 award
Expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the Innovators Gala featuring the Neil Armstrong Award of Excellence
Mentoring by an Astronaut Scholar alumni, C-suite executive, or astronaut
Opportunity to participate in the Professional Development Program sponsored by RBC
Opportunity to participate in multiple Foundation events
Membership in the Astronaut Scholar Honor Society
All incoming Astronaut Scholars are invited to attend the ASF Innovators Gala featuring the Neil Armstrong Award of Excellence, to be recognized for their achievements and to receive their award. This event is being held August 23-25, 2018 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C. At this event, an astronaut will present all Astronaut Scholars with their award on stage during a formal gala held on Saturday night.
