The Biochemistry and Biophysics department is deeply proud to announce a recent publication in The Journal of Biochemistry by one of our 4th-year graduate students, Kayla Glockzin, alongside Dr. Ardala Katzfuss and Dr. Thomas Meek.

The research in the publication focuses on the overlooked but increasingly common Chagas disease which is born from the parasite Trypanosoma cruzi . To read more on the work done by Glockzin, Katzfuss, and Meek you can view the publication here: Kinetic Characterization and Inhibition of Trypanosoma cruzi Hypoxanthine–Guanine Phosphoribosyltransferases | Biochemistry (acs.org)
