It was a packed house to congratulate our 2018 Vice Chancellor's Awards recipients at this years Texas A&M AgriLife Awards Ceremony. Dr. Chavela Carr was first up, as she was awarded this year's Vice Chancellor Award in Teaching, then came, Mr. Jimmy Trinh, from Dr. Lanying Zeng's lab, who was awarded the Graduate Student Research Award, and not too much longer, Sherry Coronado received the award for Business and Operational Staff. The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics are so grateful for the awards committee in selecting these 3 recipients because they are truly deserving of this recognition. They make a huge impact within our department and it is rightly so that they were recognized for these awards. Congratulations Chave, Jimmy and Sherry! We are proud of you and the work that you do in our department.
